Throughout September we have been delighted to reintroduce Greenwich Film Tours in a Covid-secure environment following social distancing guidelines. The Film Tours have been supporting the Greenwich “It's Time” campaign with discounted tickets for tours, including entrance to the fabulous Painted Hall.

The Tours take you around Greenwich to the filming locations of over 40 films including an extensive tour of the World Heritage Old Royal Naval College site, entrance to the Chapel (featured in Four Weddings & A Funeral and The Crown) and the Painted Hall. On the tour you also get the opportunity to take a stroll along the Thames to the filming locations of “East End” back streets, followed by a walk through the park with a chance to stand on the Meridian Line before passing the gorgeous Queen's House.

Earlier this year participants on film tours were lucky to catch a glimpse of the sets for Enola Holmes which premiered on Netflix this week and uses the Old Royal Naval College extensively in its depiction of Victorian London, and the Queen's House doubles up as Covent Garden. Further films that we have been lucky enough to see behind the scenes of as they have been filmed in Greenwich include Disney’s Cruella and The Aeronauts. As the British Film Industry gets back on its feet after the Covid shutdown we very much look forward to seeing what new transformations we will see in Greenwich on our future tours.
