Qualification Aim:

The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners for a role within a voluntary organisation.

In achieving the qualification learners will have understood the role of a volunteer within a voluntary organisation, the activities of voluntary organisations and the regulatory frameworks that may apply to being a volunteer.

In achieving the qualification learners will also identify the skills required to be a successful volunteer.

Qualification Structure


The NCFE Level 2 Award in Volunteering comprises of 1 mandatory unit and 1 optional unit. In order to gain the qualification learners must achieve 4 credits.

Delivery:

This award is delivered in a classroom setting with activities and training to cover the 1 mandatory and 1 optional unit to achieve the award. Training takes place over a six week period. Candidates will create a portfolio from worksheets and assignments along with tasks that will take place in the classroom and in homework assignments.

Assessment:

Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio.
