Volunteer With Us Volunteering directly with Volunteer Centre Greenwich means becoming part of a small, friendly team that gets to know you and what you would like from the experience. We are flexible about how and when you get involved, and we welcome people from all backgrounds, including those who are often under-represented in volunteering. You might: Help in our office, entering data and supporting our day-to-day work Help others in the community find a volunteering opportunity that suits them Support young people or people with learning disabilities to build skills and gain work experience Make a difference to the wellbeing of people feeling isolated or vulnerable in Greenwich Who can get involved Anyone aged 14 and over who lives in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Our projects We run several projects in the local community, with volunteer roles available to join the project team. You do not need prior experience. Full training is provided for every role. The Supported Volunteering Project Support someone with a learning disability or autism to access volunteering opportunities The Befriending and Emotional Wellbeing Support Project Support and signpost adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, poor mental health and wellbeing. Women and Girls’ Health Hub Share critical health information with women and girls to support better health outcomes. Mencap Community Connector Help someone with a learning disability get more involved in their local community. Public Health Cancer Awareness Community Champions Raise awareness of key health issues, prevention and identification and connect people with information and services.
