This is your one stop shop to promote your activities and volunteering role where individual can make self-referrals, health care workers can refer and it will  also link you to information on other services, not just borough wide but services in neighbouring boroughs 

The Community Referral Portal is a common referral pathway, one-stop-shop for anyone wanting to connect to their local community


This Community Services and Social Prescribing Portal provides a host of benefits:
  1. Promotes the range of community services and activities in your local borough
  2. Search tools to find services based upon health condition, support need, or location
  3. Includes Quality Assurance framework to provide reassurance for people accessing services (and referrers, in future)
  4. Deal with direct referrals
  5. Can also be used by health and social care teams to support their work with residents i.e. Adult Social Care, health professionals, community health

 


Benefits for VCSE organisations (Service providers)
  • Ability to upload and manage their own listings via their online account
  • Can increase awareness and promote their services to different audiences (health professionals, ASC, general public)
  • Can flag when capacity for services reached
  • Build evidence of demand for your services to support your business case for future funding bids.

What do you need to sign up:

  • You don’t need to be a volunteer involving organisation to use the platform
  • You do need an account with Volunteer Centre Greenwich
  • You need to meet and complete the Quality Assurance Framework requirements
  • You do need to be a not for profit organisation/ project or statutory provider
  • You need to have activities that you wish to promote for local people to sign up to

 


How to sign up:

If you are already registered with VCG you just need to complete the Quality Assurance Framework questionnaire

If you are not already registered with VCG, you need to register and complete the Quality Assurance Framework questionnaire

The Greenwich Community referral Platform is part of the wider Simply Connect London portal, supporting health & wellbeing across Greater London. 

The portal provides information and resources to organisations to help them expand and play their vital role and champions the role the VCSE has.
