Film Tour Volunteer Tour Guide and Assistant Film Tour Volunteer Role

Greenwich Film Walking Tours explore locations of over thirty films that have been shot in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

This volunteer tour guide and assistant tour guide role takes visitors and local people on a walking tour through the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich Park, Queen's House and along the River Thames. The tour concludes at the magnificent Painted Hall.

The tours take place on Saturdays and cover films such as Skyfall, Les Misérables, Pirates of the Caribbean, Thor, The Dark World and The King's Speech.

Volunteer Tour Guide Role

We are recruiting volunteers to conduct a film walking tour, providing commentary on the filming locations around historic Greenwich. You will take groups of up to ten people on a tour of the film locations for films including Pirates of the Caribbean, Thor, The King's Speech and Poldark.

You will need:

An interest in film
Friendly and approachable
Good communication skills
A good standard of spoken English
Understanding of good customer service
Enthusiastic and energetic when presenting
Must be able to learn a script
Reliable and committed
Able to work with a diverse range of people.
Translation skills (if you have them)

The Assistant Tour Guide Role

An assistant is required to support our tour guides as they conduct tours around the filming locations in Greenwich Town Centre. The role will be to support the guide in the smooth running of the tours. To liaise with the Visitor Centre and The Painted Hall and to assist with any client enquiries.

You will need:

Good communication skills
Understanding of good customer service
Reliable and committed
Able to work as part of a team
