VCG offer a full and comprehensive Volunteer Management workshop programme. The programme is designed to support and guide Volunteer Managers to implement best practice when managing their volunteers. The workshops are filled with activities, information, tips and handouts to ensure that volunteering is a fulfilling experience for all involved. Some of the feedback received from participants includes:

“Excellent trainer, created relaxed and knowledgeable session”

“Great format, just enough detail to give you an understanding of the subject from a knowledgeable trainer”

Volunteer Centre Greenwich is an accredited training centre for both NCFE and NOCN awarding bodies and offers accredited qualifications. All staff are Level 3 City and Guilds PTTLS qualified. Qualifications delivered range from Level 1 Employability to Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance. We have an excellent retention rate of around 96% for our qualifications which tells us that learners enjoy the training and receive a good level of support from both the trainers and assessors.

VCG have delivered workshops and qualifications to both large and small organisations including Peabody, Charlton Triangle Homes, East Greenwich Children’s Centre, The Big Red Bus and The National Army Museum.

VCG have been delivering the Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training for Oxleas NHS for three years and we work very closely with their Volunteering department to deliver bespoke training for all of their volunteering needs.

Feedback from The Head of Volunteering Services – Oxleas NHS

The training provided by Stephanie Pinner through the Greenwich Volunteer Centre has been extremely beneficial to our volunteers and staff working with volunteers. The training has greatly helped volunteers in undertaking their roles within Oxleas NHS trust. After attending the training the staff have a better understanding of the value of volunteers and how to deal with any problems that may arise within their placements.

Every session delivered has been tailored to our requirements and in a professional manner, some volunteers have required extra care with their training and Stephanie has made the learning experience very comfortable for these clients. Stephanie always tries to accommodate the delegates as much as she can with the tools that she has.

I can only speak highly of the dealings that I have had with the Volunteer Centre team since 2015, as I have always had prompt and professional communication in co-ordinating the training workshops.

Stephanie is always keen to help us in delivering new training sessions that may not already be on the training schedule.

Below I have listed some of the comments made by staff and volunteers that have attended the workshops:

From staff-

“Very helpful and I find it useful on a day to day basis”
“Interesting” ” Brilliant”
