The qualification is particularly suitable for young people or adults who would like to develop an understanding of the community development approach and are involved in the following:

• involved in community groups
• starting or undertaking an apprenticeship route
• needing to engage with communities as part of their work or voluntary role e.g. health
  workers, staff and volunteers in children’s centres, supporting community
• representatives, working with tenants and residents
• young people in schools and colleges who do community work placements or are more
  active in their communities wishing to develop some specific skills to aid other roles or interests (e.g. working in
  housing or planning).
