The NCVO has a resource page to help you decide what steps you and your charity or voluntary organisation need to take in light of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. You can access their information here for free, including safeguarding guidance for informal volunteer-led groups

Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for the charity sector – GOV.UK Understandably, charities are concerned about what to do during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, so we have set out our response to the most commonly asked questions.

Multi-lingual volunteers:     
Do you need volunteers that speak foreign languages? Linguist-aid is connecting multi-lingual volunteers to local community groups to translate leaflets, flyers, posters, interpreter for vulnerable people and talk on the phone to people who are isolated and  speak little English

  • The Charity Commission has developed guidance to help trustees with the running of their charity during the pandemic. 
  • The Charity Commission has developed new guidance for trustees on reporting serious incidents during the crisis.  This guidance provides examples of when to report during the pandemic.
